I'm giddy as I write this post because I'm just that excited about these products!  I've used countless sulphate-free shampoos and my issue with most of them is that they don't have a rich lather and feel clean after I use them.  This is important to me because I only wash once (no wash, rinse, and repeat here) so the product needs to get the job done on the first try.  I used Kinky-Curly "Come Clean" prior to starting my henna and indigo treatment.  I had a good amount of product from a 4 day old twist-out I was wearing, so this would really put KC Come Clean to the test.  I used about a small dollop and the results were (dare I say it)... amazing.  The lather was rich, my hair was clean, but it didn't have that straw-like feeling.  I also tried using KC "Come Clean" after I rinsed Indigo out of my hair (you have the option to use shampoo or conditioner) and as soon as the 'poo touched my hair I immediately saw it turning light blue (from the Indigo) and had to rinse it.  I'm not saying that it'll strip hair color but it's clear that it gets the job done when it comes to cleansing your hair.  While my hair was soaking wet, I followed up with Kinky-Curly "Knot Today".  I used a small dollop as used it as a leave-in condition.  I like this conditioner because you have the option to use it as a rinse-out or leave-in.  You don't always come across conditioners like this and when you do they aren't properly executed as a leave-in.  They often feel heavy and gross.  Kinky-Curly "Knot Today" felt light and my hair had some shine to it too.  I can't say that I was absolutely head over heels in love with KCKT but I was happy so far.  Since the directions for Kink-Curly "Curling Custard" says that I can use it with KCKT for more stretched curls I grabbed my spray bottle filled with distilled drinking water and got to coiling.  I thought the hardest challenge using Kinky-Curly "Curling Custard" would be keeping my hair soaking wet.  When ever I do my hair like this my hair just soaks up a ton of water.  It's so frustrating.  My hair wasn't soaking up water this time!  At times I felt that I didn't need as much was as I was using because my hair didn't feel dry, but when my hair wasn't wet enough I noticed more shrinkage.  KCCC is on POINT!  I refuse to even compare it to Eco-Styler Gel (which I use on ponytails) because it's not marketed as a curling product, the ingredients are VERY different, and KCCC is not marketed as a holding gel.  KCCC has a lot of great ingredients and it got the job done as promised.  The texture of KCCC is pretty unique as well.  I would have to describe it as being gel-like, not sticky, but slimy.  The scent is light and sweet with a  hint of vanilla.  I also loved the fact that I didn't need a lot of KCCC on my hair  The amount pictured below on the top was all I used.  I didn't even put a dent in the jar.  This is going to save people a lot of money!  I got a lot of compliments on my that week.  My hair was  well moisturized, I had great curl definition, a soft hold, and my curls didn't shrink as much.  At night I put my hair in big bantu knots (held by soft hair band) and I slept with a satin bonnet.  In the morning I fluff, and go....no fuss.  I've now added this products in my arsenal as Holy Grail products that I have to have.

EDIT:  The product photos were taken AFTER I used the products
Kinky-Curly "Knot Today"
Part hair in small sections and coil around fingers using Kink-Curly "Curling Custard"
I did my entire coil-out using this amount (slightly less)
Use large clips to assist with curl stretching.  I don't use heat to dry my hair but it's an option for some.

KC products are the TRUTH! I am very pleased with the results for my hair and not slot of either product is required for beautiful outcomes. I am waiting patiently for KC to get to my local Target - until then it is more than worth the hour trip to Whole Foods. Natural hair rocks because if you do your research and get the products that work for you and your hair, you don't really need to visit the salon. Even though KC products are a bit pricey I still savemap much $ compared to what I used to spend at the salon (not to mention the time!!!). Peacel
